Your 2024 250cc and 450cc Motocross Champions

Chase Sexton Clinches 2024 AMA Pro Motocross 450 Class Title at Ironman Raceway

At the final round of the 2024 AMA Pro Motocross Championship at Ironman Raceway in Indiana, Chase Sexton secured the 450 Class title in a dominant fashion. Entering the finale with a 28-point lead over Honda HRC’s Hunter Lawrence, Sexton sealed the championship after winning the first moto, mathematically eliminating Lawrence from contention. The Illinois native then capped off the day by going 1-1, further solidifying his claim to the title. Sexton will be officially awarded the 2024 450 Class AMA Motocross #1 plate following the conclusion of the second moto.

This marks Sexton's second premier class title and his first AMA Motocross Championship riding the Red Bull KTM 450 SX-F. His win is also a historic moment for KTM, as it represents their first AMA Motocross title since Ryan Dungey's victory in 2015. Sexton’s season has been nothing short of spectacular, racking up 13 moto wins and seven overall victories. Reflecting on his journey, Sexton’s rise in the sport is remarkable—having transitioned from showing potential in the 250SX class to becoming a dominant force in the 450 Class. With 13 overall wins, nearly two dozen moto wins, and 31 podium finishes in the premier class, Sexton’s achievements underscore the dedication and effort he's put into reaching the pinnacle of motocross. Congratulations, Chase Sexton!

Haiden Deegan Secures 2024 AMA Pro Motocross 250 Class Championship at Budds Creek National

Haiden Deegan entered the Budds Creek National with an opportunity to clinch the 2024 AMA Pro Motocross Championship 250 Class title one round ahead of schedule. Riding for Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing, Deegan held a commanding 70-point lead over Levi Kitchen, with only 100 points remaining across the final two rounds. All he needed was to extend his lead by at least five points by the end of the day in Maryland to secure the championship.

In the first moto, Deegan got a perfect start, taking the holeshot over Kitchen and quickly pulling away from the competition. Using a strategic inside gate choice, he leveraged the hard dirt on the side of the track to gain an early advantage, essentially wheelieing away from the field. Deegan built a commanding 25-second lead over Kitchen and, despite a minor fall with two laps remaining, cruised to a convincing race win. Tom Vialle finished second, while Kitchen came through in third after Chance Hymas's last-lap crash cost the Honda HRC rider six positions. With Kitchen’s third-place finish, Deegan officially secured the 250 Class championship.

Congratulations to both Chase Sexton and Haiden Deegan on their remarkable achievements this season!
